The Information Security Engineer is a rock star who delivers security solutions. The Information Security Engineer regularly consults the IT teams and other areas of the business to help interpret and communicate risk. This role also works with subject matter experts within the IT teams to ensure that only the right technologies and processes are implemented in the right places. The Information Security Engineer creates and maintains the technologies/processes used by Information Security Analysts to perform their everyday functions. Ideal applicants are detail-oriented, love to take risks and will constantly challenge assumptions.

  • Provide an interface between the business and IT for technical security projects
  • Create strategies, controls and architecture specifically for desktop, workstation/endpoint and mobile device security
  • Maintain the organization's data loss prevention (DLP) solutions
  • Optimize technologies and processes for Information Security Analysts
  • Five years of experience in a technical information technology role
  • Understanding and practical experience in internal certificate authorities, Microsoft Windows preventative and detective controls, Microsoft Active Directory design/architecture and security, data loss/leak prevention and multifactor authentication
  • Understanding of network design, encryption/PKI, mobile security, network security technologies and vulnerability management
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Has great writing, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Analytical thinker with a high sense of urgency
  • Ability to look at all situations objectively, loves to challenge assumptions
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Embraces a fast-paced, start-up-style environment
  • Loves to cross-train and build stronger teams
  • GIAC or other security certification
  • Knowledge of the mortgage/financial industry
  • Practical knowledge of any combination of PCI-DSS, GLBA, HIPAA, state/federal privacy laws
  • Mac OSX security
